Project Manager
From February 2005 responsible for all creative projects from inception to delivery including, re-brand, company documentation and promotional material, multiple company websites, sign writing and event management (trade shows both UK & international, exhibitions and private views).
Using a very analytical approach, ensuring the understanding of briefs, time scales and budgeting requirements. Projects completed with a consideration of scoping, risk analysis and logging, planning documentation (critical path analysis, key point identification and Gantt charts), testing and delivery.
Alongside the Creative Manager role since January 2009 I have been responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of a number of technical projects in accordance with the company policy & procedures.
• New Database, CRM & Website Solution (FTP in/out, Captioning, Website, Image Database)
Essentially 3 projects combining to complete the overall brief – Initially investigating the potential solution options, testing of two systems and making recommendations to the board.
The migration of 2 million images, 4,000 customers and 1,500 suppliers. Finally the re-design of the company website using a CMS. Personally managed from conception through implementation and ‘go live’. The Picturemaxx system allows for a vast improvement in functionality for company workflow, automation and a substantial reduction in costs. (12 month Project)
• Move to Cloud Email system
When taking on the IT responsibilities it became clear the distributed email system was complicated and impractical to back up. I recommended a change and was tasked to source, configure and transition to a more suitable solution. The cloud email system provided better continuity of data & considerably enhanced features to enable better remote working. (3 months)
• Phone System
After the completion of the email switch and being able to offer remote working I suggested that we could compliment this with a more flexible phone system, this allowing customers to contact the relevant team member regardless of location, also with the opportunity to reduce costs.
